For nearly 150 years, the Seventh-day Adventist Church’s position in regard to women’s ordination as pastors and elders has been one consistently based on the unmistakable guidance of Scripture, including such passages as 1 Timothy 3:1–7 and Titus 1:5–9.
The purpose of the website is to provide biblical and church support for this position and to address a recent movement by various conferences and unions within the church to disregard this biblical mandate, potentially creating a very serious theological crisis that threatens to divide and cripple the Adventist movement.
However, at the heart of this issue are two profound questions that go far beyond women’s ordination, affecting the unity and effectiveness of the church as God’s representatives:
- Will the Seventh-day Adventist Church remain a people guided by Christ’s Word or will it allow itself to be directed by outside cultural pressures?
- Will the church move forward as one people with united beliefs and respect the appointed authority of the world church?
The call of Scripture is clear. The results of going against Scripture are also clear. So please carefully read the information on this website, sign the petition, and forward to every church member you know.
